Our client, a leader in the transportation industry, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the Last Mile department supporting a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully with the organization.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Location: Durham, NC

Pay Range: $18 per hour

Shift: 8am- 4:30pm Tuesday to Friday-?7am-3pm only on Saturday

What's the Job?

  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
  • Read customer orders and work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, and shipped.
  • Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic.
  • Complete work in a safe manner; adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring that loads arrive on time and in good condition.

What's Needed?

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds.
  • Experience in loading and unloading trailers is a plus.
