In this role, you'll be a vital part of the Operations Department, ensuring a smooth flow of materials throughout the warehouse. You'll leverage your skills in operating a forklift to keep production lines running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials, including raw materials for production and finished goods for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to ensure efficient operations.
- Locate and move stock of building products to designated areas for storage and shipment using a forklift.
- Identify damaged goods and report shortages or quality issues.
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and activity logs using a warehouse management system (WMS).
- Adhere to company policies and legal guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating a forklift is a must.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to a growing company.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to safely maneuver a forklift in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality control.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
