Our client is seeking a Purchasing Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have computer skills, analytical skills and procurement experience which will align successfully in the organization.

 

Job Title:  Purchasing Technician

Location:  McAllen, TX

Pay Range:  $15.50 hourly

 

What’s the Job?

  • Assist faculty/staff in obtaining information on goods and services needed
  • Review requisitions and assist in specification development
  • Confers with vendors to obtain product and/or service information, price availability and delivery schedules
  • Determine method of procurement such as direct purchase, competive bid, request for qualifications, or purchase through a cooperative purchasing agreement
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What’s Needed?

  • College Certificate
  • A minimum of 30 earned college hours
  • At least one (1) year of Purchasing experience, preferred
