Job Title: Building maintenance engineer
Location: Onsite in Knoxville, IA
Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM, Cycle Schedule (Example: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off)

About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all boiler room operations and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Monitor alarm systems and weather monitoring systems, taking necessary actions.
  • Perform periodic readings, rounds, and maintenance on Power Plant equipment.
  • Maintain boilers and utility systems (water testing, chemical control, etc.).
  • Perform repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Review and complete work orders, ordering materials as needed.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and seek additional assistance if necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Trade school training or relevant experience (minimum of 4 years).
  • Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License (Required)
  • Strongly Preferred: Boiler certifications
  • Universal CFC certification is preferred.
  • Certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration systems, plumbing, or engine repair are beneficial.
Key Skills:
  • Must-Have: Boiler, Chiller, and Air Compressor experience.
  • Nice-to-Have: Relevant chiller experience and knowledge of how chillers work.
