Responsibilities:


The Test & Certification Manager is responsible for planning and executing all internal and external activities required to integrate, verify, validate, and certify the EFVS MMWR system for the commercial aviation market.  They are responsible for defining the testing strategy, ensuring that the product meets all the FAA requirements, and managing the testing and certification processes. The role requires collaboration with the cross-functional Integrated Product Team to ensure the successful delivery of the product. The Test and Certification Manager must have a strong understanding of FAA regulations, excellent project management skills, and experience in leading testing efforts for complex systems. They should be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.  They are a control account manager (CAM) responsible for planning and managing the cost and schedule performance of their assigned scope.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field of study and typically 12 or more years of technical experience
  • Expert knowledge of engineering principles and practice
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development team
  • Comprehensive understanding of requirements management, system design, integration

Preferred:

  • Typically 6-8 years of relevant leadership and/or project management experience
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team and communicating with program management and customers
  • Familiarity with preparation and development of project estimates, technical proposals, and program cost and schedule management
  • Past history of leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternative
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedure
  • Professional Certification in Program Management International (PMI) and/or Program Management Professional (PMP
  • Experience or certification in INCOSE standard
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
