Description:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine general chemistry analyses and sample preparations per official methodologies. Support administrative tasks and performs Good Laboratory Practices checks.
Main tasks/responsibilities
- Receive, process and track analytical sample requests
- Communicate with project managers to obtain necessary information
- Coordinate analyses with other Analytical Section analysts
- Perform routine in-house chemical and physical testing
- Monitor and maintain basic analytical equipment
- Maintain the laboratory in a safe, clean environment
- Accurately document analytical analysis
Education and Experience
- Associate degree or B.S. in a Science related field with one-year related experience or High School Diploma (or GED) with three years related experience
Additional Skills Preferred
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Ability to accurately perform analytical procedures and administrative tasks
- Good communication skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
