  • Provide direction daily on shipping and receiving schedules, unscheduled down times and the efficient utilization of manpower 
  • Review & verify that all product moving to the warehouse have the description correct, quantity, & lot number
  • Responsible for tracking, tracing, & expediting pick labels & Orders to ensure on time arrival
  • Directly supervise loaders during the loading process
  • Manage team in a manner that supports a positive work environment for all team members. Lead problem-solving activities in this area as necessary. Develop, maintain, and deliver team member development and performance evaluations to provide personal growth and enhance team capabilities.
  • Spot check labels for inventory accuracy, alert QC department for errors
  • Ensure timely actions on Customer Complaints & develop root cause analysis
  • Provides leadership in support of team quality in shipping, warehousing and receiving, and problem-solving issues while insuring that customer expectations are met.
  • Enforce plant rules, monitor attendance and provide corrective action (discipline) as necessary
  • Provides orientations and position training to new team members, and conducts re-training as necessary
  • Responsible for supporting the warehouse flow of inbound and outbound shipments 
  • Provide key leadership in annual inventory process
  • Conducts follow up with carriers to ensure loads are OTIF 
  • Maintain & assign department housekeeping duties
  • Review all safety guidelines, workplace safety policies & OHSA requirements with personnel
  • Must be able to deal with all levels of management & personnel throughout the plant. Coordinate with other shift supervisors 
  • Completes paperwork and reporting
  • Creatively participate in continuous improvement activities

 

Education and Experience: 

  • 3-5 years in warehouse position, preferably with a background in manufacturing
  • High school diploma

 

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Progressive knowledge in warehouse operations
  • Experience/working knowledge of SAP
  • Experience in lean manufacturing techniques
  • Proficient in computer navigation and Microsoft office
