Job Summary and QualificationsTo perform Echocardiograms and assist in Transesophageal Echocardiograms for the purpose of diagnosing possible cardiac conditions. Performs clerical duties associated with the processing of the Echo reports.
- Knows and understands the objectives, policies, procedures, and standards of the hospital and Echo Lab.
- Knowledgeable of all echocardiograph procedures.
- Knows operating principles of the equipment and all safety aspects related to the equipment.
- Transporting of patient and equipment.
- Routine cleaning, maintenance, and stocking of echo lab and equipment.
- Processing of paperwork and reports.
Experience:
- One year experience in a cardiovascular-related department preferred. New grads will be considered with license.
- Echo experience also preferred however, EKG and/or Stress Lab experience is a plus
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Echo program.
Special Qualifications:
- CCI or ARDMS certification required.
- Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Must be flexible to work days or some evenings.
- Must be able to work holidays.
- Must be able to work a call rotation.
