UTMB Health is seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team. As a Vascular Technologist, you will work under limited supervision to provide advanced technical skills in the performance of non-invasive tests used in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a full range of non-invasive vascular tests and related duties in patient care and academic/research environments.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of vascular disease and its treatment options.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in vascular technology and best practices.
- Must meet one of the following educational/experience requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of a formal vascular technology training program (1-4 years) and be registry eligible with application for current year.
- Graduate from a diagnostic ultrasound training program (2-4 years) with 1 full additional year of full-time clinical experience in a dedicated vascular lab and be registry eligible with application for current year.
- Approximately two years of college with emphasis on the biological sciences and two years of experience in a dedicated vascular laboratory and be registry eligible with application for current year.
- Certified as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or be registry eligible with application in current year.
