An oasis away from the airport hustle, 1st class, premium airport lounges have become synonymous for comfort and elegance at major airports throughout the world.  Grow your culinary career  We are seeking an Executive Sous Chef with prior culinary supervisory/management skills and hands-on food production experience to join our team at the American Airlines/British Airways (AA/BA) lounges at JFK Airport.  Sodexo operates this 3-tiered lounge which services international, long-haul travelers and will offer top-tier amenities and expanded premium food and beverage offerings. 

 

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu/recipe compliance, inventory, food production forecasting, hands-on cooking;
  • supervision of large-scale batch cooking;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
