Unit Description:

Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for an Executive Chef 2 to join our team at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.  Dana Farber Cancer Institute since its founding in 1947, has been committed to providing adults and children with cancer with the best treatment available today while developing tomorrow's cures through cutting-edge research.  This account is a Management fee account with a MV of 7million.  There are 4 points of service at this account; 1 main cafe, 2 satellite locations within walking distance, and catering operations with a MV of 6 million.

 

The Executive Chef 2 will be responsible for day to day operations, including retail and catering.  Duties include managing a team of 20-30 direct reports and ensuring catering events are set up and executed.  

 

This position offers a predominately Monday through Friday schedule.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
