Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Sales & Logistics Representative to drive our sales and marketing efforts for cementitious solutions in Washington State. A successful candidate will provide technical expertise to our customers, grow, and solidify our customer base and create relationships. This role is based in Redmond, WA with travel to sites as required and reports directly to the Area Sales Manager.

What You’ll Get to Do
- Marketing and selling cementitious products within the above noted region
- Working with operations and logistics team to optimize logistics efficiencies while providing exceptional value for customers
- Periodic review of working forecast to optimize logistics and minimize negative impact to customers
- Support sales manager in logistic improvement initiatives
- Reviewing bid documents and specifications and preparing bid packages and quotes
- Targeting and acquiring new accounts and maintaining existing accounts by strengthening customer relationships consistent with an overall market strategy
- Achieving sales volumes and maximizing prices based on market conditions and company goals
- Working with operations and logistics team to develop a good understanding of logistics efficiencies while providing exceptional value for customers
- Working and communicating with inside sales reps and order desk
Essential Experience and Skills
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline or 5 years of sales experience in the construction materials industry is advantageous
- Proven track record with at least 3-5 years of high-energy, successful sales and marketing experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation and networking skills
- Strong time management and critical thinking skills.
- Technical knowledge of cement and concrete products
- Sustainability expertise in building products

Work Environment
- Regular use of the cellphone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
