Its core competences are the development, production, distribution and servicing of diesel, gas and electric drivetrains for professional applications that is used in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling equipment, stationary equipment, commercial vehicles, rail vehicles and other applications.Job SummaryThe Commodity buyer will report to the Purchasing Manager and will assist in overseeing purchasing commodities within the DEUTZ supply chain. Additionally, the Commodity buyer will liaise with purchasing peers and suppliers while building and maintaining strong professional relationships. This role supports the management of supplier pricing, purchase orders, and invoice processes while acknowledging DEUTZ purchasing policies and procedures. The ideal candidate must have some experience in a purchasing environment including a DEUTZ innovative spirit to drive solutions, results and a strong desire to progress their Purchasing career. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Commodity Buyer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties: Assist in the management and control of the company's external suppliers as allocated, particularly in purchasing materials and finished parts for production. Support in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers maximizing the quality of purchased goods and services while controlling costs, including detailed negotiation on suppliers' cost increase requests and long-term contracts. Adheres to purchasing procedures in accordance with the guidelines laid out to support DEUTZ ISO 9001- 2015 certification, including RFP/RFQ, bid, purchase order, requisition, or invoicing processes. Support the coordination of sourcing strategies for relevant commodity groups with global colleagues in Germany. Establish strategic relationships with critical suppliers aligned with the company's needs. Support supplier recovery projects where appropriate. Participate in training including courses, and on-site training to support their continued development. Support product development efforts through sourcing, purchasing, and following the engineering change notice process and coordinate with the project purchasing team. Communicate effectively with purchasing management, peers, subordinates, suppliers, and other company entities. Support supplier relationships while working with suppliers to resolve quality, shipping, or invoicing issues. Perform other duties as assigned.

X Strong commercial and financial acumen. X Exposure to the off-high-way engineering market is preferred. X Bachelor's in business administration or closely related study preferred ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS: Attention to detail with the ability to follow through under tight timelines and pressured situations. Demonstrated superior work ethic with a solid commitment to the goals and organizational values of DEUTZ and a strong determination to complete projects effectively. Results-driven skills with the ability to be process-oriented and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Critical thinking with the ability to ensure DEUTZ resources are used wisely while considering current processes and making the necessary shift utilizing innovative strategies.
