Directly or indirectly, you'll have exposure to cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking medical research.Patient Discharge Coordinator Hours: Monday-Friday with rotating weekendsPay rate: $22RequirementsSupport the discharge team by obtaining medical records, acquiring prior authorizationsGo through rounds with the physicians, assist in coordinating care and orders after dischargeOffer friendly, courteous assistance to every patient to ensure that the patient has a positive, professional experience while at Johns HopkinsExpedite use of automated scheduling, registration and billing systemsQualificationsMinimum of High school diploma or equivalent requiredThree years of previous experience in a healthcareExperience working directly with the physicianExperience with insurance and prior authorization Experience with patient dischargeInpatient experienceFamiliar with medical terminology, calendar managementProficient on the appropriate computer systems such as EPIC , SAP, Thruput/bed boardJohns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
