Design EngineerThe Opportunity: We are looking for a highly experienced Design Engineer with expertise in mechanical, structural, electrical, or electronic design, specifically focused on shipbuilding and defense systems. You will support the Navy acquisition organizations in acquiring or developing mission-appropriate Naval vessels and systems. You'll lead the design and development of mechanical, structural, electrical, or electronic systems for shipbuilding and defense projects, enhancing design processes and te chn ologies. You'll prepare and present te chn ical reports and documentation to stakeholders and stay abreast of industry trends, te chn ologies, and best practices. You'll collaborate with a cross-functional te chn ical and acquisition team, comprising engineers from various disciplines, and lead te chn ical activities supporting program office efforts. Additionally, you'll develop the skills and capabilities of junior engineers and foster a positive, inclusive culture.Join us. The world can't wait. You Have:
10+ years of experience with mechanical, structural, electrical, or electronic designs
Experience leading complex design projects from start to finish
Experience with advanced design sof tware and tools, including CAD, FEA, or CFD
Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in shipbuilding and defense
Ability to collaborate with a team of systems engineers, electrical and electronics engineers, acquisition professionals, and logistics experts
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Nice If You Have:
Knowledge of Navy acquisition processes
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design standards and practices for Naval ships and systems
Knowledge of DoD or DoN procedures and p olicies , including the DoD 5000 process
Possession of excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Possession of excellent written and verbal te chn ical communication skills
Master's degree in Engineering
Professional Engineer ( PE ) Certification

The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
