You will use pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic tools. You will need the ability to read schematics and interact with Engineering to troubleshoot assembly problems. A clean and organized work area is expected of you. The compensation for this position is based on skill. An Entry Level Mechanic makes $25.16 per hour and an Assembly Mechanic IV makes $33.48 per hour. Mechanical aptitude
Ability to read, write, and do basic arithmetic
Follow procedures, assembly work instructions, and job travelers
Basic computer skills
What you will learn, if you do not already know:
Parts cleaning to prepare for assembly
Precision assembly and disassembly of turbo expander machinery
Conduct pressure testing of machine casings, piping, and components
Use of precision measuring tools during assembly of machinery
Drive a forklift
Material handling of heavy parts with an overhead crane
How Success is measured:
Completing assigned tasks and assignments in the time duration given.
Utilizing a minimum of 40 hours of training on skid on learning and developing in our manufacturing processes.
Supporting and working the hours needed to complete our assigned jobs on schedule.
Something to consider:
Working Conditions: Available to work Overtime as needed, up to 12-hour shifts Monday - Friday, Saturdays, and some Sundays.
Essential Physical Tasks: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Over 25lbs will require the use of cranes/power tools; Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching; Standing for long periods of time; Climbing ladders; Handling and assembling of small parts. Ability to climb around, over, and under equipment to conduct work
Equipment Used: Basic hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, punches, and measuring devices as well as hand power tools such as drills, grinders, impact wrenches, etc. Lifting equipment including overhead cranes, shackles, chains, and other rigging.
This position may require full COVID vaccination status
