Functional Group: Operations - HPG Approved By: Click here to enter text. Date Approved: Position Summary: At this level the associate is proficient in all aspects of the process. They can help develop new processes and recognize and solve most non-routine process problems. The associate at this level is more aware of the business and can make process improvements that reduce cost and/or improve quality and delivery. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Identifies common machine electrical and mechanical problems
Proficient product knowledge to identify components
Identifies gas supply / mixture problems
Develops / modifies existing simple weld - fabrication schedules for new parts
Understands and can weld - fabricate complex process sheets
Demonstrates the ability to improve processes to reduce setup times and cycle times
Works on his / her own and helps answer questions from less qualified associates
Works with related departments on his / her own (e.g. Tool Room, Engineering, Inspection)
Can read engineering drawings and specifications to layout, assemble, and weld more complex components
Uses Lathes, Mills, Bridgeport, and saws under guidance of a trainer or supervisor Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Required: No Education Required
Must be certified in manual welding skills in order to pass 6G pip tests as well as ASME code requirements / tests

Removes barriers or roadblocks so people can get the job done Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements: Good vision: Must be able to sustain effective visual inspection over an 8-hour shift.
Must be able to pass pre-employment and annual Vision Acuity tests
Lifting: Maybe lifting to 25lbs. frequently
Manual dexterity: Must demonstrate manual dexterity required to properly handle products and gages
Sitting/ Standing: May be required to sit or stand 8 hours per day. Must be able to move throughout the shop floor to gather samples, move parts, etc.
