Strategically rationalize and manage the supplier base; develop key supplier alliances; implement, monitor, and maintain effective procurement programs; expand or consolidate the supplier base as needed. Develop, recommend, and implement system improvements to increase process efficiencies. Actively reduce non-value-added time within NOV as well as within the process of our suppliers, drive lead-times down where possible. Develop procurement strategic plans for those commodities that are assigned as primary responsibilities. Initiate purchasing guidelines and policies to ensure compliance with company ISO certification. Oversee inventory accuracy and documentation. Maintain dynamic of product mix through analysis and forecast. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, plan and implement effective planning and procurement of materials, material and information flow, and the management and control of inventory and ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash objectives are met. Collaborate with management (IBP) team to create and implement optimal forecasting models. Manage purchasing to customer service levels, minimize PPV, support inventory goals, minimizing AP issues and avoid stock outs. Supporting supplier sourcing efforts as required including activities such as supplier manufacturing capability assessment; production problem resolution; cost reduction and quality improvement efforts. Assist with insourcing initiatives for the plant and design manufacturing processes to ensure maximum amount of work stays within the manufacturing plant. Support the Lean Manufacturing culture with short and long-term Continuous Improvement strategies and activities that develop, evaluates, and drives improvement in process methods and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with managing purchasing, planning, warehouse functions in a fast paced manufacturing setting. Certifications preferred (APICS, CPSM, Lean, Six Sigma etc). 5+ years' experience in a related field desired. Working knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis. Understanding of ERP configuration, manufacturing processes and systems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to pass a drug screen & background check. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office & ERP Systems, especially proficient in the use of Excel. Must be capable of managing multiple priorities and projects at the same time. Ability to work with Scheduling systems (e.g. JDA Factory Scheduler ) to synchronize the needs of the Operations' priorities with the actions of the supply chain department. Cross functional team collaboration with Engineering, Procurement and Mfg. to execute on the materials strategy for working capital goals. Have a working understanding of Oracle EBS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and ASCP system in order to be able to review supply demand data and other attributes related to product. Drive standardization throughout plant by use of core competency teams, benchmarking, process standards and equipment checklists. Review order booking trends, drive revenue generating activities and collaborating with IBP on forecasting right product mix for increased market share. Ability to meet or exceed standards as established by the department. Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
