Join us. We are currently seeking a CNC machinist at our Irvine, CA location. This position produces components by setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines, meeting ATI's high safety and quality standards and maintaining equipment and supplies. A successful CNC machinist is safety-focused, a problem solver and understands the importance of precision and quality.Position Essential Functions Included but are not Limited to:
Functions as an entry level position within the machining department and will be trained to eventually run multiple CNC equipment.
Will be trained to perform in process inspection of machined products (including documentation of results), will be asked to demonstrate his learnings and will be evaluated by the trainer, Lead and Supervisor to ensure progress is satisfactory.
Completes and maintains paperwork for parts
Completes secondary operations i.e., deburr, polish, etc. in cycle time per print and process.
Learning how to set-up, operate, and develop jobs and production operations.
Participates in root cause analysis and corrective action.
Maintains the machine and environment at safe and clean condition.
Will be trained to perform total productive machine maintenance, given knowledge so that the individual gains the ability to make minor repairs and perform preliminary troubleshooting activities.
Perform other duties and assignments as assigned in accordance with established Company mission and values.

RequirementsBasic Qualifications:0 to 1 years of experience in CNC precision machining.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience with root cause analysis, lean manufacturing, aerospace material, engineering/quality specifications, and programming capabilities.

Essential Skills and Abilities:
Entry level in turning operations on CNC equipment. Will be trained to use inspection methods using calipers, height/depth gauges, dial indicators and granite tables.
Desire to learn cutting tools and materials, fixture to machine relationships, and set-up.
Will be introduced to Statistical Process Control (SPC) and will learn the plotting of graphs, upper and lower control limits and when the process illustrates out of control conditions.
Provides consistent ideas for process improvements.
Works under constant supervision.
