Position Summary:
A CNC Machining Specialist is essential to our operations, contributing significantly to the development and prototyping of advanced systems. This role involves working on a diverse range of projects, including the machining of aerospace-grade thin-walled metallic components, assembly tool fixtures, composite lamination masters, and precision robotic system parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program CNC machines to produce high-quality, precision components.
  • Fabricate parts from various materials while ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide insights for enhancing manufacturability.
  • Operate various machining equipment including mills, lathes, and grinders.
  • Transform raw materials into finished products through skilled machining techniques.
  • Design and create custom tooling as necessary for specific projects.
  • Interpret blueprints and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Coordinate with development teams to maintain efficient build schedules.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in machining.
  • A minimum of 3 years operating Haas or similar CNC machinery.
  • Proficient in MasterCAM or equivalent programming software.
  • Experience working with materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, composites, and tooling boards.
  • Strong skills in operating mills, lathes, drill presses, and grinders safely.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent technical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 lbs without assistance.

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to access to export-controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 5-axis CNC programming and operation.
  • Over 10 years of machining experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Haas CNCs.
  • Familiarity with manual milling operations.
  • Experience using metrology tools.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office and Outlook.
