Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Engineer to join our team at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. As a key member of our Operations and Process Improvement team, you will play a central role in strategy execution, continuous performance improvement efforts, and other transformational initiatives.

This position requires a strong background in quality engineering, process improvement, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and leading cross-functional teams. You will work closely with hospital leadership, directors, managers, physicians, and staff to identify and implement process improvements that drive financial, quality, and efficiency gains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and reduce waste
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Provide training and coaching to staff on process improvement methodologies and tools
  • Monitor and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of process improvements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, process engineering, applied sciences, or related field

5+ years of experience in quality engineering, process improvement, or a related field

Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects
