Description GENERAL SUMMARY:Provide support to the US Naval Fleet in Norfolk, VA.LOCATION:Norfolk, VA.PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembles / disassembles mechanical components, equipment and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to repair / install engine components, instruments, controls, machines, etc. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments.
Position Requirements REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in mechanical / equipment installations; or completion of a formal related course of study through either a community college, technical or trade school, military training, formal company training program or an apprenticeship program. Able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals, and lead and supervise their implementation. Must be able to supervise and direct a small installation team (3-10 personnel) with minimal guidance.
