DescriptionPosition Purpose:To effectively lead the Quality Assurance function (of the overall Quality department), to ensure non-conforming Inputs do not enter Flambeau's manufacturing processes, and to ensure non-conforming Outputs do not leave Flambeau's Assurance.RequirementsEssential Duties:
Recruit, coach, train, develop, and qualify effective QA/QC Inspectors.
Ensure effective Quality Assurance coverage for all production work cells, across all shifts.
This includes direct assignments for Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) QC Inspectors, as well as cross-functional communication to ensure QC coverage via the fill-in QC Inspectors.
In lieu of adequate QC coverage by the FTEs and fill-ins, the QA Supervisor may be required to perform the function of QC Inspector.


Create, and revise existing, Standard Operating Procedures for Quality Assurance processes.
Create, and revise existing, Work Instructions that pertain to measuring devices used in Quality Assurance processes.
Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) using Gage R&R methodology (for quantitative and qualitative data), to ensure measurement methods used by QC Inspectors are adequate for the intended purpose.
Identify, approve, and manage the Master Samples (i.e. physical standards) of Inputs.
Identify, obtain proper approvals (i.e. from the customer, if contract manufacturing), and manage Master Samples (i.e. physical standards) of Outputs from the initial production run.
Conduct and lead the plant QMS Internal Audit program (applies to ISO only plants).
Construct the "timeline of production" (i.e. the story of how it happened, not why it happened) for internal failures (i.e. NCs/MRBs), to feed into Root Cause Analysis.
Conduct the "bracketing rationale" using data/evidence to support the Containment plan for internal failures (i.e. NCs/MRBs).
Responsible for the "Plan" and "Act" phases of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) method for the rework/repair process.
Issue Quality Alerts (to the source of the error) after internal (i.e. NCs/MRBs) and external (i.e. customer complaints) failures have been determined to be Confirmed (i.e. Flambeau at fault).
Manage production Retain samples from each production order based on the required timeframes.
