Position Overview:
Craft Machine is seeking a highly experienced NDT Level III Inspector to join our team. The NDT Level III Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and performing advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure the highest quality and integrity of metal components and equipment. This role requires deep expertise in NDT methods, the ability to develop and implement testing procedures, and ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.

Responsibilities:









Lead and perform advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) using methods such as ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT), radiographic (RT), and visual inspection (VT).
Develop, review, and approve NDT procedures, techniques, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Train, mentor, and certify NDT Level I and II inspectors, ensuring they maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
Interpret and evaluate test results, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
Conduct root cause analysis for defects and non-conformances, collaborating with engineering and production teams to implement solutions.
Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, procedures, and certifications.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Perform audits and assessments of NDT processes and systems to ensure continuous improvement.
Stay updated with the latest industry standards, emerging NDT technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:









High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications preferred.
Certification as an NDT Level III Inspector in applicable methods (UT, MT, PT, RT, VT).
Extensive experience as an NDT Inspector in a manufacturing environment, with proven expertise in NDT methods, techniques, and equipment.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes related to NDT (e.g., ASNT, ASTM, ISO).
Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Exceptional analytical skills for evaluating test results and identifying defects.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to train and develop junior inspectors.
Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Strong communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.

Physical Requirements:



Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
Stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods during inspections.
Visual acuity and attention to detail for performing precise inspections.
