Your Role
As an Application Developer you will support our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system as we upgrade to next generation customer service tools and contact center products. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the enterprise IVR system which offers self-service capabilities and serves as the entry point into the contact center. Your WorkIn this role, you will:Be responsible for the development of enhancements to BSC’s enterprise Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systemImplement speech recognition menus using directed, and natural language models Develop and maintain RESTful web services used by the IVRImplement routing and automation scripts for the Genesys PureCloud contact centerSupport Quality Assurance and User Acceptance TestsTroubleshoot production IVR issuesSupport production deployment of IVR code Adopt and apply software engineering concepts and processes to software developmentProvide input to designs and technical specificationsDevelop user interfaces and application programs using the technical specifications and design documents providedTests, debugs, and maintains code according to the technical specificationsProvide knowledge transfer to less experienced staffYour Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar, or equivalent experienceRequires at least 5 years of prior relevant experienceExperience working as an IVR or contact center developer preferredExperience with JavaExperience with Python or other scripting languagesExperience developing and consuming web services preferredFamiliarity with the Azure cloud environment is a plusStrong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skillsSuperior attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem solving, research, and follow-up skillsSelf-motivation and ability to work independently Pay Range:The pay range for this role is: $ 99000.00 to $ 148500.00 for California.Notes:Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
