Kelly Science and Clinical has a new temp to hire opportunity for a Lab Analyst in North Chicago, IL

Shift: M-F 8am-5pm
Pay: $25-$27/hour

Responsibilities:

Handling customer samples collected by proprietary air sampling devices: login customer samples received in laboratory, emailing customers, and processing samples for testing
Monitoring lab support email address and responding to customer inquiries
Purifying RNA from samples and running qPCR on RT-Thermal Cyclers
Purifying DNA from samples and running qPCR on Thermal Cyclers
Perform cDNA synthesis.
ELISA and ELISA- based testing and operating multiplex immunoassays in a Luminex-based system under direct supervision
Analyzing results and completing customer data reports using a laboratory information management system (LIMS) under direct supervision
Following standard operating procedures and reporting non compliances, errors and equipment downtime
Maintaining laboratory equipment and performance by upholding quality standards; certifying instrument performance; arranging equipment repair with approval by immediate supervisor
Maintaining laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; preparing orders for supplies for approval by supervisor
Maintaining proprietary air sampling devices, shipping, and receiving devices to and from customer locations, sending customer emails regarding delivery timeline, maintaining documentation as instructed by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:


Bachelors degree in a biological science related field
Internship or industry experience in a biological laboratory, given preference
Experience with processing samples on Luminex immunoassay systems and RT thermal cyclers of equivalent lab equipment, given preference
Able to communicate with clients via email or other approved means of communications
Able to follow standard written protocols
Can work independently and prioritize efforts using standard procedures
