Responsibilities
This position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus to all new hire RTTs (experienced or new-grad) which is paid upon start date. This requires a 2 year commitment.
To provide daily care of cancer patients, including accurate interpretation and delivery of radiation treatments. To perform simulations and provide clinical instruction for radiation therapy students. In addition, Radiation Therapist may be required to cover IORT, Brachy Procedures, Proton Practice, Photon Practice, On-call and Treatment Scheduling. Radiation Therapists are an active member of the care team and attend meetings or communicate with team members. These varying positions may require mandatory overtime and shift work. Radiation Therapists may be required to cover any Rochester or regional practice site as needed.Qualifications
The Radiation Therapist job requires an associate's degree in Radiation Therapy from a JRCERT accredited program in Radiation Therapy.at time of hire or within 2 months of hire.Previous experience as an R.T.T. including Photon and Proton treatments, daily imaging, and simulation procedures would be beneficial however, not required.Current ARRT certificate in Radiation Therapy required within 2 months of start date. BLSExemption StatusNonexemptCompensation Detail$34.06-$51.11/ hr. Benefits EligibleYesScheduleFull TimeHours/Pay Period80Schedule DetailsDuring training hours range from 6 a.m. to as late as midnight. After training you will move to second shift. Typical hours are 2:30pm to 11pm, although they fluctuate. You may continue to rotate to day or mid-shift. Over time and extended hours will be required based on need.Weekend ScheduleAlthough currently there is not an on-call schedule, there is a possibility for weekend hours/shifts if necessary to complete patients' prescribed treatments.International AssignmentNoSite Description
