Nursing Supervisor for 2nd Shift Needed.

The Nursing Supervisor is a middle management position for supervisory coverage of the Nursing Department during second shift. Responsibilities require knowledge of nursing policies and procedures, allowing independent judgement in their interpretation. The Nursing Supervisor duties include provision of managerial and clinical links between the nurse manager, and department direction in their absence, and the Health Facility Administrator.
Current or previous long-term care experience
Ability and desire to work second shift, Monday through Friday, 3p-11:30p
CPR and First-Aid certification is a plus
Standing Full weight on tiled or carpeted floors Constant
1, 2, 3, and 5, Assisted Living,
Retirement apartments and Robin
to get residents from one location to
Carrying objects Delivering food trays at mealtime, Occasional
residents in wheelchairs
giving staff report and care directions to
staff. Communication with residents and
alarms, receiving report from staff,
listening to report, receiving telephone
Residents clinical records, visual assessments
Use of hands/fingers Necessary for monitoring of pulses, Constant
drawing blood, obtaining Mantoux
results, assessments of body parts,
using typewriter or computer keyboard
