Founded in 2014, our mission has always been Maximizing Athletes’ Development and Exposure (MADE). We host 100 boys and girls basketball events annually, including competitive camps for all ages, middle school and high school tournaments, and the top independent high school circuit in the country. We’re proud to have countless McDonald’s All-Americans, NCAA athletes, and NBA stars among our alumni. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic, lead‑by‑example and ambitious Vice President of Marketing to oversee the entire marketing apparatus of MADE Hoops; this VP of Marketing would lead marketing strategy and operations to promote MADE Hoops events, merchandise and content – directly overseeing the marketing and digital content teams within the company. The VP of Marketing will be in a player‑coach role, helping define and build the full marketing funnel across the company based on historical data, knowledge of the youth sports market, and an assessment of opportunities to grow the MADE Hoops business and build connectivity between content, merchandise, and events. They would be stepping into a senior leadership role to helm an existing team of highly ambitious, competitive, and adaptable professionals on the MADE Hoops team. Key Responsibilities The VP of Marketing will be responsible for defining and driving the overall marketing strategy, focusing on measurable growth and operational excellence. Team Leadership: Oversee and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Marketing and Content teams, ensuring strategic alignment and operational efficiency across all functions, driving promotion for events, merchandise, and content. Budget Supervision: Directly manage a large marketing budget and hold accountability for the marketing function’s P&L (Profit & Loss), ensuring capital is invested for maximum, measurable ROI. Marketing Funnel: Strategically build, manage, and continually optimize the entire marketing funnel (specifically for events, merchandise, and content) across each specific customer segment. Technology & Process Investment: Identify and invest in critical marketing tools and processes necessary to establish clear, quantifiable ROI across marketing expenditures. Brand & Content Strategy: Develop a comprehensive strategy that ensures a consistent, high‑quality, and on‑brand experience across all public‑facing content. Influencer Strategy: Design and execute an aggressive influencer strategy, including the building of a robust roster of “MADE” characters/contributors to amplify brand reach and authenticity within the youth basketball community. Integrated Initiatives: Successfully intertwine and integrate MADE non‑profit, facility, and other key initiatives into the overall marketing mix to maximize community impact and brand visibility. Growth Marketing Mix: Lead the strategy for mixing brand marketing and performance marketing efforts, to achieve both long‑term brand equity and immediate revenue targets. Qualifications 7 years of experience in marketing, preferably within youth, collegiate, or professional sports. Demonstrated expertise in full‑funnel marketing, including brand building and performance marketing, with a focus on delivering clear ROI. Deep familiarity and operational experience with key marketing platforms, including Klaviyo, Shopify, or similar e‑commerce/CRM/analytics tools. Proven ability to manage a large marketing budget and successfully operate a P&L for the marketing function. Exceptional expertise in agency relations and establishing successful influencer marketing strategies (including building a roster of brand characters/contributors). Experience with and understanding of loyalty programs and customer retention strategies. Track record of success working in a fast‑paced, result‑oriented environment, with examples to point to in terms of audience growth, large‑scale paid customer acquisition campaigns, social commerce, subscription product growth, product marketing, or any related areas. Strong organization and project management skills to succeed in a multi‑initiative, fast‑paced environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to succinctly coordinate needs across to relevant internal and external stakeholders. Analytical mindset with experience in data‑driven decision‑making and reporting. Passion for basketball and youth development. Willingness to travel for events as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
