Job Description:

  • Contract - no end date provided
  • Onsite position Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
  • Manager will conduct a phone interview and then an in-person interview.
  • Report directly to the President & CEO.
  • Primary responsibilities will consist of assisting in the day-to-day support of the industry and education cluster/initiative directors and auxiliary support of communications and events activities.
  • Support annual organization strategy and project planning by engaging in planning and strategy meetings with the President & CEO, Director of Strategy & Communications, and cluster/initiative directors.
  • Perform research and analyses of transformational ideas, best practices and initiatives/programs of other organizations and jurisdictions, and legislative/policy briefs, condensing findings for executive-level summaries.
  • Conduct legislative monitoring, including keeping team members stakeholders aware of legislative meetings and activity relevant to the industry and education clusters/initiatives.
  • Assist in organizing industry, academic, and government round table discussions.
  • Assist in writing progress/programmatic reports and final strategic recommendations for existing and select programs and grants.
  • Formulate and manage project plans and schedules, including the organization and utilization of the Monday.com platform.
  • Aid in maintaining cluster/initiative partner information and helping ensure updates to asset mapping tools.
  • Help cluster/initiative directors manage and maintain customer relationship management (CRM) tools and data sheets, both via Excel and on the Monday.com platform.
  • Contribute, under the guidance of the Communications Team, content and updates for cluster members through social media posts and newsletters.
  • Assist with editing content and maintaining the web properties of client.
  • Meet regularly with the Director of Strategy & Communications, along with cluster/initiative directors and Communications Team.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, as needed, and manage vendor contracts and relationships.
  • Provide planning, on-the-scene, and day-of event/conference/meeting coordination and support.
  • Serve as the liaison for speakers and/or dignitaries participating in client’s meetings/events.


Responsibilities:

  • Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit.
  • Assists in preparation and control of records, statistics and reports.
  • Administers the most complex projects and processes specific to operating unit served.
  • May serve as an administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues. Operates a desktop computer and is proficient in working with assorted software , tools and systems utilized in the area. 40% Assists in preparation and control of records, statistics and reports.
  • Gathers, prepares and distributes data. Monitors procedures and operational conditions.
  • Recommends process improvements. 40% Completes special projects often requiring area specific knowledge as assigned by management.
  • 20% Serves as area's project liaison with others within and outside the company


Experience:

  • 4 years of project coordination or other job related work experience including 2 years working proficiently with word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet and database applications software.


Skills:

  • Excellent interpretation and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Excellent organization and project coordination skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate or influence. Knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office. Work Experience: Typical office environment.


Education:

Associate's Degree or two years of job related work experience or a combination of education and experience equal to 2 years.
