We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. This role involves working on various network technologies, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance. The Network Engineer will work closely with senior engineers, collaborating to enhance and expand the network environment while maintaining security, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design & Implementation: Assist in the design, configuration, deployment, and support of network solutions, including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, and switches.
Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve network issues, including hardware and software faults, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks.
Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance and security using tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc., and respond to alerts in a timely manner.
Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, access controls, and VPN configurations.
Documentation: Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including IT Support, Systems Administrators, and Project Managers, to support infrastructure changes and resolve issues.
Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors for equipment procurement, upgrades, and support.
Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and execute firmware updates, patches, and other necessary upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
Performance Tuning: Analyze network traffic and provide recommendations for improvements to increase efficiency and reduce latency.
Incident Management: Respond to incidents and participate in root cause analysis to ensure recurring problems are addressed.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent is required; additional certifications like CompTIA Network+, CCNP, or Fortinet NSE are a plus.
Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, including LAN/WAN design and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and/or Fortinet devices.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, PRTG).
Understanding of firewall management and security practices.
Experience with VPN technologies and remote access solutions.


Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SD-WAN and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Experience in enterprise or multi-site environments.
Knowledge of VoIP systems and wireless technologies.
