At Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) in Baltimore, MD, we are looking for a passionate Merchandising Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to shape the shopping experience for our community. Our center is dedicated to empowering youth and fostering growth through education and enrichment programs. By leading our merchandising efforts, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission and making a positive impact on the lives of young people in Baltimore.


The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for trends, a creative mindset, and a strong understanding of youth culture. You will be responsible for curating a unique selection of products that resonate with our audience, driving sales, and creating an engaging shopping environment that reflects the values of LTYC. With a competitive hourly salary of $30 - $35, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about youth empowerment and making a difference in the community.

Compensation:

$30 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and meet revenue goals.
  • Analyze market trends and customer behavior to make data-driven merchandising decisions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling product displays and promotions.
  • Manage inventory levels and product assortment to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
  • Train and supervise merchandising team members to maintain brand standards and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in merchandising or retail management.
  • Proficient in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

LTYC has been able to impact the lives of more than 160,000 students, ranging from grades K-12. Many of our students come from schools in Baltimore City and surrounding areas that are in dire need of arts education and behavioral intervention. Our arts education instruction includes dance, theater, music, visual arts, media arts, creative writing, STEAM, culinary arts, Yoga, martial arts, and gardening.
