Director of Manufacturing Overall management and profit/loss responsibility for the plant, working closely with Quality Manager and QA, Sales Department, and Corporate Engineering. Key Responsibilities Manage the profitability of the plant in collaboration with executive management. Efficiently allocate plant resources and maintain appropriate staffing levels. Optimize raw material usage, minimize scrap and waste, and balance inventory levels. Review production equipment utilization and identify bottlenecks or replacement needs. Ensure timely customer order fulfillment with production planning team. Maintain accurate inventory systems achieving ~98% accuracy. Represent plant in customer meetings when sales personnel are unavailable. Identify and implement process improvements and root‑cause corrective actions. Lead continuous process improvement teams to reduce waste and non‑value added operations. Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and discipline production staff in coordination with HR. Communicate job expectations, monitor performance, and administer compensation. Enforce operational policies and ISO standards compliance. Optimize use of Company MRP and related computer systems. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications 5‑7 years of manufacturing management with P&L responsibilities in a job shop setting. B.S. in Engineering preferred; strong technical aptitude. Experience in plastic injection molding and medical/food grade manufacturing ideal. Strong understanding of ISO standards, preferably ISO 13485. Proven track record using Six Sigma, 5‑S, Lean Manufacturing, or similar continuous improvement tools. Basic budgeting and expense management skills. Strong leadership, business management, and team‑building skills. Hands‑on, take‑ownership approach. Analytical decision‑making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation skills. Comfortable interacting with all organization levels and external stakeholders.
