Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Production Supervisor to oversee and coordinate virtual production projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of virtual production techniques, including real-time rendering, motion capture, and interactive environments, as well as excellent leadership and organizational skills.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Manage and coordinate virtual production workflows, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, and other key stakeholders to define project goals, requirements, and timelines.

Technical Leadership:

  • Oversee the setup and operation of virtual production equipment, including LED walls, motion capture systems, and real-time rendering engines.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to ensure smooth production processes.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of virtual production professionals, including VFX artists, technical directors, and production assistants.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team to achieve project objectives.

Creative Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the creative team to interpret and implement visual concepts and ensure they are realized in the virtual production environment.
  • Provide creative input and technical guidance to enhance the overall production quality.

Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor and review production processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and provide feedback to improve production techniques and outcomes.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of production processes, technical specifications, and project progress.
  • Prepare and present reports on project status, including challenges and resolutions, to senior management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Computer Graphics, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in virtual production or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency with virtual production technologies, including Unreal Engine, Unity, motion capture systems, and LED walls.
  • Strong understanding of real-time rendering, 3D modeling, and visual effects workflows.
  • Experience with MoSys System workflow.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with virtual production for live-action and animated content.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Maya, Houdini, and Adobe Premiere.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in virtual production.
