Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum Education and/or Experience : Graduation from an accredited school with a Bachelor's Degree in an area pertinent to the program/department responsibilities, and two years of directly related experience required. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities: Must be competent in providing leadership to assigned staff, and management of all aspects of the operation of the program. Must be familiar with and demonstrate competence in various behavior management modalities and models useful in the behavioral management of adults. Must have excellent communications skills and be able to interact with staff and stakeholders in a professional and diplomatic manner. Demonstrates confidentiality and exceptional de-escalation skills. Demonstrates knowledge of community referral resources and make appropriate referrals to those resources to meet the needs of clients. Demonstrates familiarity with software programs used at SMA, or the ability to learn them in a reasonable period of time. Necessary Special Requirements: Possession of a valid Florida driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of personal automobile insurance if required to drive an SMA vehicle and/or use a personal vehicle for SMA business. Complete State of Florida mandatory background screening prior to start of employment. Complete SMA required training during the first six (6) months of employment and updated if required. Physical: Mobility and ability to bend and reach during an 8-12 hour day. Able to lift minimum 10 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate, intervene, treat, and record client health care needs. Fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentation. Work endurance ability to work an 8 to 13 hour day with a lunch break as possible. Routine 8 to 12 hour shifts. Hours and days off may vary. Weekend and after hour coverage will be required. Extra hours/rotation of shift may be required. On call duties will be required.
