Job Overview:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer with a scientific background to provide comprehensive lifecycle support for engineering projects in the domain of Contested Space.

This role encompasses responsibilities such as RF Payload design, reflector engineering, and project execution, along with essential tasks in work planning, resource allocation, and program initiation.

The Project Engineer will oversee the management of several new initiatives within the portfolio, focusing on business forecasting, strategic growth planning, and roadmap development.

This position requires accountability for the entire Project Engineering team, ensuring effective execution, planning, and adherence to schedules across multiple projects in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:


• Develop, manage, and coordinate the cost, schedule, and technical elements of ongoing engineering projects in alignment with program guidelines established by the Program Manager and clients.

• Monitor project status, manage budgets, and generate status reports.
• Analyze engineering challenges and devise solutions to achieve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.
• Identify, monitor, mitigate, and resolve program-level risks.
• Estimate resource and material requirements for projects/products.
• Facilitate coordination between resource managers and ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are secured.

• Ensure collaboration between technical teams and supply chain management to guarantee timely receipt of materials and subcontracts.

• Engage in medium to large-scale teams, undertaking a diverse range of tasks.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 10 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

• Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVMS) and familiarity with best practices in project engineering and program execution across multiple disciplines and locations.

• An active TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience in hardware/software integration projects.
• Proven track record managing projects with budgets exceeding $60M.
• Knowledge of Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management.
• Background in reflector and space design initiatives.
• A STEM degree is preferred.
• Experience leading Government Contract development programs and understanding the Government contract acquisition lifecycle.
• Familiarity with design-to-cost management and proposal activities, as well as expertise in Root Cause Corrective Action processes and techniques.
