Patent Prosecution Team Attorney – Software Technologies

Job SummaryKilpatrick’s Electronics & Software Team is seeking a full-time USPTO-registered patent prosecution Team Attorney experienced in preparing and prosecuting software-related applications.Applicants with at least 3+ years of experience in patent prosecution are preferred, with aptitude for portfolio development and client counseling a plus. This position is an alternative to traditional partnership-track positions, and has a lower billable hour requirement. Applicant must have a USPTO Reg. No. and possess a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. Prefer education or patent prosecution work experience related to software technologies such as cloud, security encryption, AI, bioinformatics, mobile applications, databases, and networking. Applicant must be detail oriented and have strong written and verbal skills. Transcripts and patent prosecution writing samples will be requested. Patent Attorney would ideally be based in either our Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA offices.
