About the job Patent Prosecution Attorney Patent Prosecution Associate or Department Attorney Job Description: We are seeking to hire a patent prosecution associate or department attorney to join our Intellectual Property Practice Group in either our Chicago, IL or San Francisco, CA office. Responsibilities: Work closely with clients to navigate changing patent laws and judicial decisions. Provide solutions for avoiding competitors' patents and protecting client assets. Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO. Collaborate with a diverse team to extract value from intellectual property. Qualifications: 5-8 years of patent prosecution experience. Experience drafting patent applications and prosecuting before the USPTO. Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent. USPTO admission. Strong academic credentials. Superb judgment and communication skills. Commitment to providing excellent client services. Chicago, IL: $300,000 - $350,000 Additional contingent compensation may apply based on performance and other factors. Standard benefits package.
