Job Summary:

The Engineering Solutions team is a cross-functional group of engineers dedicated to supporting new product development, commercialization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The team executes new product development through a robust and flexible Stage Gate process, aiming for best-in-class practices and continuous improvement in all operations.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for aligning and leading a cross-functional team, including engineers, sales, marketing, operations personnel, and other functional units across the organization. The role focuses on scoping projects and coordinating teams through the Stage Gate process from product design to production launch.

Essential Functions:

Project Planning and Oversight: Plan and oversee the implementation of multiple assigned projects, ensuring they stay within scope, time, budget, and quality expectations.
Project Scope Management: Take overall responsibility for managing multiple injection molds, assembly equipment, packaging equipment, lining equipment, etc., to launch new or enhanced products.
Leadership and Coordination: Lead cross-functional project teams, managing time, risks, cost, quality, and resources to meet expectations, while effectively communicating status to stakeholders.
Organizational and Strategic Alignment: Foster and implement the engineering solutions team’s strategic vision, goals, and objectives in alignment with the company's overall strategy.
Financial Management: Meet project financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing or adhering to budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions as needed.
Project Execution: Achieve project objectives and deliverables by clearly capturing and outlining project requirements, contributing to strategic plans, preparing and completing action plans, resolving problems through data analysis, identifying system improvements, and implementing necessary changes.
Stage Gate Process Adherence: Follow the Stage Gate process and report project status to the leadership team.

Skills/Qualifications/Travel:

Experience: 3+ years of experience in Program/Project Management, preferably in the Plastic Manufacturing Industry. Experience in injection molding and new product development is highly desirable.
Education: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is preferred.
Self-Motivation: Must be self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision, and capable of leading cross-functional teams with an action-oriented approach.
Team Leadership: Ability to motivate and influence team members, with strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Project is preferred but not required. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Project Quoting: Familiarity with product/project quoting, including product cost, equipment cost, and resource requirements.
Presentation Skills: Comfortable presenting to and speaking in front of large groups, including customers, peers, and management.
Six Sigma Training: Six Sigma training is highly beneficial.
Communication Skills: Excellent listening skills, with highly effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external resources and customers at all levels.
Professionalism: Must maintain a professional image and effectively represent the company both externally and internally.
