Traffic Project Manager I

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Project Manager I to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing project scope and fee quotations
  • Preparing technical proposals and contracts
  • Serving as primary client liaison and managing project teams
  • Coordinating with managers on project staffing, including recruitment, development, and retention of staff
  • Partnering with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development and pursuit efforts

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 8 years of relevant experience
  • 2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience
  • Industry knowledge of traffic signal, ITS, safety, toll, and/or corridor planning
  • Ability to mentor younger staff and clearly convey technical information
  • Desire to work within HNTB's sophisticated processes and provide clients with HNTB's signature 4for4 (on-time, on-budget, quality, client satisfaction)

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience in industry standard traffic analysis tools - HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, Vissim, IHSDM
