Bonfy.AI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior NLP Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training and testing large language models (LLMs), utilizing cutting-edge techniques and tools to drive innovations in natural language processing that are scalable, accurate and efficient for our use-cases. This role requires a strong foundation in machine learning, NLP, and software development. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our technology roadmap and directly impacting the growth and success of our startup.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement models for natural language understanding and generation, focusing on training and refining large language models.
Develop and maintain pipelines for data gathering, cleaning, and preprocessing to ensure high-quality datasets for model training.
Experiment with new models and techniques to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of NLP systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional disciplines to integrate NLP technologies into broader product and service offerings.
Stay updated with the latest developments in NLP and machine learning, and assess the potential of new tools and frameworks to enhance project outcomes.
Help build and refine an evaluation framework to robustly assess the performance of NLP models, including the creation of benchmarks and metrics that align with project goals and industry standards,

Technical Requirements:

BSc. or MSc. in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in NLP
Proven expertise in training, tuning, and implementing large scale language models, as well as practical experience in a wide range of NLP tasks such as classification, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, machine translation, Information retrieval, entity linking.
Strong programming skills in Python, and familiarity with NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, NLTK, spaCy)
Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and different data processing frameworks (e.g. Scikit-learn, numpy, SciPy)
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and a solid understanding of graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, ArangoDB, Amazon Neptune) is a plus
Cloud Platforms: Experience using cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus
DevOps and MLOps: Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), containerization (e.g., Docker), and CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML-based projects is a plus
Data Science Background: including understanding of evaluation metrics for NLP tasks and the ability to interpret results to guide model improvements.

Additional Requirements:

Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States
Applicants must be able to work in a hybrid mode at our office located in Mountain View, California.
