We are actively seeking a Director, Sales to cover our East Coast territory. The role will report directly to the VP of Sales. Position Summary Rimini Street is expanding its sales force to accelerate growth and extend its leadership in the independent software support market. The Director of Sales will lead a team of 5–8 Account Executives, hiring, training, and driving performance to exceed aggressive sales goals. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in opening new markets, building pipelines, closing business, and leading high‑growth enterprise software or software‑related services teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Support the VP of Sales by growing, mentoring, and leading a subset of the region’s Sales Team. Hire, onboard, train, and manage a team of 5–8 successful sales account executives who consistently outperform revenue targets. Ensure direct reports achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets while collaborating closely with corporate support functions. Develop and execute a plan to exceed quota every quarter. Guide prospects through a solution‑selling approach to the Rimini Street solution. Collaborate with Leadership to set sales strategy and growth objectives. Prepare and provide weekly forecasts to the South/SW Region VP of Sales. Collaborate with marketing to coordinate a go‑to‑market approach. Represent Rimini Street at regional CIO and analyst conferences. Maintain up‑to‑date sales activities in Salesforce.com. Detailed Review Of Duties & Responsibilities Role Success Maintain a fully staffed and trained team of AEs hitting 100% of individual targets. Ramp new hires to productivity within 6 months. Coaching and mentoring to foster growth. Meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets. Expand accounts to create longer‑term, higher‑margin opportunities within the Ra‑I‑S‑I offerings. Recruiting/Hiring Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to fill positions quickly. Work with HR and leadership to communicate resourcing needs and ensure timely hiring and onboarding. Onboarding Actively manage onboarding, working closely with corporate support functions. Ensure each new resource has training, tools, and support necessary for success. Maintain daily cadence with new resources to expedite onboarding. Resolve onboarding issues promptly and effectively. Define target accounts and work with the AE to prepare penetration and expansion plans within 3 months. Training/Development Define, implement, and track tailored training and development programs for each AE. Track and audit training progress, ensuring AEs reach target milestones. Participate in a minimum of 5 customer meetings with new AEs within 3 months. Ensure mastery of core topics and additional skills within 3 months. Managing Manage, modify, and grow the business and team through daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities. Other Responsibilities Travel as needed (≈25%) for sales opportunities. Reinforce and extend Rimini Street’s unique culture. Contribute to best practices across the NAMER Sales Theater. Experience 10+ years selling enterprise software and services, building new markets or businesses. 5+ years in sales leadership with a proven track record of team building. Experience in team‑selling; >50% of role involves selling with direct reports. Proven experience opening new accounts, including cold‑calling and lead prospecting. Ability to manage a quota‑bearing high‑volume sales team across multiple regions. Skills Strong understanding of sales fundamentals, solution selling, team selling, Salesforce.com, and sales motivations. Knowledge of sales compensation plans and models. Cold‑calling, lead prospecting, and development expertise. Excellent coaching, mentoring, goal‑setting, and performance tracking skills. Desired Qualifications Enjoy working within a rapidly changing, fast‑moving organization. Demonstrated success building a collaborative office culture. Strong time‑management and organizational skills. Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution. Location Remote – US, Southeast. Why Rimini Street?
