Job Summaryh3> The Director of Sales has direct oversight of the hotel’s sales operations. The Director is responsible for maximizing profit, expanding business relationships with targeted prospects and large clients, and developing and implementing strategy, sales plans, budgets, and forecasts for overall business development. The Director will oversee group and transient sales. Essential Job Functions Manage all aspects of chromat division. Provide the strategic vision for maximum hotel sales generation and optimal revenue growth. Lead a talented sales team that makes the vision reality. Create an energized environment for win‑driven professionals to learn and exceed their best. Effectively channel knowledge of the competitive landscape and assess program effectiveness to determine optimum revenues. Forge relationships and build rapport. Cultivate, enhance, and leverage external and internal relationships to elevate hotel and market share awareness and drive business. Collaborate with Finance to ensure the division’s sales plan meets or exceeds revenue expectations and profit goals. Generate and develop new business to meet specified goals. Maintain and nurture client relationships. Manage consistent growth within client base. Make and develop contacts with selected staffing clients and strategic partners. Develop customer relations including sales leads, research, cold calling, qualifying leads, and customer service. Maintain and develop client relations for new and larger established customers, ensuring regular contact to guarantee satisfaction and need‑based marketing relations. Develop and implement a sales action plan with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new accounts. Seek and create opportunities to expand business with current clients, identify further business needs, and present solutions. Grow existing accounts and prospective clients to full potential and generate maximum revenue on a long‑term basis. Attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows; prepare post‑event reports and analysis. Regularly interact with executives of major and prospective clients. Analyze client needs and promote company services to meet such requirements. Manage the preparation and implementation of sales and business development plans, forecasts, and strategies. Formulate overall objectives and strategy to develop high‑value relationships within all targeted areas of accounts. Understand prospective client culture, product portfolio, competitive position, financial state, investment plan, organizational structure, and key decision makers. Function as liaison between client companies and operations staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field, or comparable experience.
