Duration: 12+ Months
Job Profile Summary: The Business Analyst protects the financial interests of our client and its members by conducting investigations of member claims, researching, analyzing, and processing dispute inquiries for financial transactions related to debit, credit, and deposit accounts. The goal is to recover funds for the members in accordance with all regulatory requirements and association rules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Risk Management: Identify and manage existing and emerging risks from business activities and the job role. Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
• Compliance: Follow written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
• Investigation and Resolution: Build an understanding of bank card rules and Federal Regulations while accurately identifying issues and determining the best solution to recover funds.
• Provisional and Permanent Credit: Under direct supervision, process the issuance and removal of provisional credit, and issuance of permanent credit to member accounts as needed. Determine cardholder liability based on investigation results and manage associated credits.
• Documentation: Document the results of cases in the appropriate case management system (DCC, EWL, First Track, ODOC, etc.).
• Customer Service: Engage in customer service activities to determine member needs and provide appropriate resolution. Demonstrate considerable conflict resolution skills while interacting with members and necessary third-party establishments.
• Performance and Compliance: Operate in a strong compliance and risk management environment where performance is measured while ensuring constant support of the client’s commitment to our members. Maintain compliance, quality, and productivity standards aligned with individual scorecards.
Required Skills:
• 1-3 years of experience with credit or debit card disputes.
• Customer contact experience in a financial services organization.
• Experience working under Banking Regulations and Bank Card Association Rules, including Reg E, Reg Z, UDAAP, and all applicable financial regulations.
Tools Proficiency:
• Microsoft Office
• Fidelity and/or Visa Online
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant certification or training in financial regulations and dispute management is a plus.
