The Associate Director of Quality-of-Care is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality of care provided in all our program settings. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in the delivery of services to individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities or other support needs.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance programs to assess the effectiveness of services and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create, revise, and enforce policies and procedures that promote high standards of care and support.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to staff on best practices, quality standards, and regulatory compliance to enhance service delivery.
  • Analyze data related to service outcomes, incidents, and client satisfaction to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
  • Promote the rights and needs of residents, ensuring that their voices are heard and respected within the organization.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including direct support professionals, medical staff, and administrative personnel, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and quality standards.
  • Understand and adhere to OPWDD, OCFS, SED, and DOH, and other regulatory body regulations and protocols.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving service quality, client outcomes, and overall satisfaction through evidence-based practices and innovative approaches.
  • Facilitate communication with families, guardians, and external stakeholders to enhance collaboration and ensure that individual’s needs are met effectively.
  • Adheres to agency policies and procedures; follows and supports agency mission, vision, and values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential services, quality assurance, or program management, with a focus on intellectual developmental disabilities or similar populations.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations, best practices, and quality standards in residential care.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable plans for improvement.
  • Experience in training and mentoring staff.
  • Ability to travel to various residential locations as needed.
  • Capacity to engage in physical activities related to training and support as required.
