Position Summary: We are seeking an attorney experienced in commercial litigation who is motivated, business oriented and has excellent research, writing, and communication skills, as well as a desire to build a successful career in these practice areas. The ideal candidate has a background in construction law. Key Responsibilities: Assist in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and court appearances. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial and construction law issues. Attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Manage case files and maintain strong client relationships. Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex litigation matters. Stay current on legal developments affecting clients and industries served by the firm. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admission to the New York Bar. 3-10 years of experience in litigation (experience in construction law is preferred but not required). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated interest in commercial and/or construction law.
