This full-time, remote position will manage relationships between GrowthWise Group, a key food service advisory and sales management firm, and the local brokers in the western region of the United States (Seattle, Portland, Boise, Denver, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Albuquerque). This role will also be responsible for continuing to build and train a team of mentors in order to reach monthly sales and account acquisition goals. Travel of up to 50% is required.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Inspire Excellence: Lead, motivate, and mentor a dynamic sales team to surpass monthly sales targets. 
  • Train and Empower: Provide the regional team of brokers with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed. 
  • Support Food Shows: Provide training, manage sampling initiatives, and represent the company at food shows within the assigned region. 
  • Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong connections with key national account leads within the market. 
  • Collaborate with National Teams: Work closely with import specialists and national account teams to align on strategies and goals. 
  • Present to Key Accounts: Partner with brokers to deliver impactful presentations to large accounts and venues in the market. 
  • Monitor and Report Progress: Track broker activities and weekly progress, ensuring follow-up on accounts that have been introduced to products. 
  • Travel and Budget Management: Coordinate frequent travel within the territory, manage travel budgets, and ensure efficient resource use. 
  • Drive Marketplace Initiatives: Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance 
  • Analyze and Optimize: Leverage Salesforce CRM to track, forecast, and identify new opportunities for growth. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience or demonstrated success in other sales capacities. 
  • Food Background preferred, such as former chef or culinary school experience 
  • Experience working with the major broadline distributors welcome and managerial experience welcome 
  • Excellent planning, oral, and written communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal, selling, and negotiation skills – ability to build and sustain multiple relationships 
  • A command of business analytics including computer literacy and finance/controls 
  • Ability to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to target and execute on new business opportunities 
  • Ability to lead cross functional team 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the western region of the U.S. (Seattle, Portland, Boise, Denver, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Albuquerque) 
  • Ability to proactively and creatively problem solve 
  • Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
