Job Overview:

As a Sales BDC Representative, your primary responsibility is to support the sales team by generating and qualifying leads, managing customer inquiries, and facilitating communication between potential customers and the sales department. This role plays a crucial part in the initial stages of the sales process, focusing on building and maintaining strong customer relationships through effective communication and follow-up.

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation:
  • Proactively identify potential leads through various channels, including online inquiries, website forms, and marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct research to gather information on potential customers and qualify leads based on predefined criteria.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize lead generation strategies and ensure a consistent flow of qualified leads.
Customer Interaction and Communication:
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Gather and document relevant information from customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Educate customers about products, services, and promotions, providing accurate and compelling information.
Appointment Setting:
  • Schedule appointments for the sales team with qualified leads.
  • Coordinate and confirm appointments, ensuring a smooth handover to the sales representatives.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient appointment calendar.
Database Management:
  • Update and maintain customer databases with accurate and current information.
  • Track and report on lead generation activities, ensuring proper documentation of interactions and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to enhance the overall customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Follow-Up and Relationship Building:
  • Conduct timely follow-ups with potential customers to nurture leads and address any additional questions or concerns.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless handovers and transitions during the sales process.
Performance Metrics:
  • Meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation, appointment setting, and customer interaction.
  • Provide regular reports on key metrics and performance to the sales management team.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in a customer service or sales support role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
