**Job Summary:**
The Hotel Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with hotel standards, recipes, and guest preferences. This role involves working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring food safety, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Food Preparation:**
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure that food portions, presentation, and garnishes meet hotel specifications and standards.
- Adjust recipes as needed to meet guests dietary requirements and preferences.
- **Kitchen Operations:**
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Assist in food prep and storage, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- **Collaboration:**
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- **Quality Control:**
- Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring consistency.
- Perform regular taste tests to ensure dishes meet quality standards.
- **Inventory Management:**
- Assist with inventory control and management.
- Report any food shortages or equipment issues to the supervisor.
- **Safety and Sanitation:**
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Culinary school certification preferred.
- **Experience:**
- Proven experience as a line cook in a hotel or high-volume restaurant.
- Experience with various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- **Skills:**
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for cooking.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- **Certifications:**
- Food Handlers Permit or equivalent required.
- Additional certifications (e.g., ServSafe) are a plus.
