The Partner Strategy and Business Development team leads strategy, planning, and business development for the partner business at Workday. About the Role The Director, Workforce Partnerships leads a team of Account Executives and Partner Business Development leaders who partner with benefits and benefits-technology providers to enhance the Workday platform. This leader shapes partner strategy, builds a pipeline of partnerships, closes deals to meet revenue targets, and launches new partnership initiatives. Responsibilities Deliver short‑term revenue targets and build new lines of business with Workday Wellness Partners to innovate software and services for customers. Lead sales teams, surpassing revenue goals. Navigate complex sales cycles with strategic partner and customer accounts. Shape strategy and execute end‑to‑end strategic initiatives, realizing revenue results. Exhibit strong executive presence and excellent written and oral communication skills. Facilitate cross‑functional coordination across Sales, Product, CX, Marketing, and Partner organizations, operating with partner obsession and high judgment. Own results and take accountability for exceeding expectations and targets. Basic Qualifications 10+ years of experience in software and ERP sales. 3+ years of people‑leader experience in Strategic Business Development or Partner/Alliances roles. 2+ years of experience in sales leadership roles with revenue and growth targets. Preferred Qualifications Experience in US healthcare, financial services, or insurance markets. Consistent record of exceeding targets and delivering customer impact. Ability to frame, structure, and execute large, complex partner deals. Executive engagement, business development facilitation, and identification of large‑scale greenfield opportunities. Influence senior leaders and executives. Strong written and oral presentation skills. Pay Transparency Statement Base salary ranges for the primary location and other U.S. locations are listed below. Salary varies by location and is determined by multiple factors including geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need. Primary Location (Chicago, IL): $256,500 – $313,500 USD annually. Additional U.S. Locations: $256,500 – $313,500 USD annually. Eligible for Workday Bonus Plan or role‑specific commission/bonus, and annual stock grants. Flexible Work Workday combines in‑person and remote work. Employees spend at least 50% of each quarter's time in the office or in the field, with flexibility to create a schedule that aligns with business, team, and personal needs.
